Join us at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center to experience an action packed two days and two nights full of fantastic speakers, delicious food and top quality bison along with fellow bison producers and enthusiasts.

Whether you’re a seasoned member or brand new to the WBA – this is the one to come to. Beautiful and quality bison stock from some of the best producers in the business, educational presentations, and a chance to meet your fellow producers. This is a fantastic opportunity to buy, sell, or simply be a part helping promote this amazing animal and build the future of the bison industry.

  • Thursday, December 10th

    • 8am-12pm - Unload Bison at the Reno-Sparks Events Center

      • Arrival & unloading of Bison

    • 1pm - Bison Judging Begins at the Reno-Sparks Event Center

      • Live judging of bison by Randy Gaskill and John Painter

    • 5:30-6:30pm - Herd Hangout at the hotel

      • Drinks and casual networking - Time to meet new ranchers and reconnect with friends

    • 6:30-9pm - The Roundup & Report at the hotel

      • Dinner Buffet

      • Annual Membership Meeting & Elections

      • State of the Industry Update

      • Socializing and Networking with producers across the West

  • Friday, December 11th

    • 9am- Herd Huddle at the Reno-Sparks Events Center

      • Kick-off and Introductions - Meet fellow attendees, share where you’re from & introduce ranches

    • 9:30-11:30am - Bison as Ecosystem Engineers at the Reno-Sparks Events Center

      • Jeff Martin-Center of Excellence for Bison Studies

    • 11:30-12:30pm - Lunch‍ ‍at the Reno-Sparks Events Center

      • Provided by the WBA

    • 11:30-3:30pm - Jr. Judging at the Reno-Sparks Events Center

    • 12:30-2:30pm From Climate Forecasts to Your Fenceline: How to look up & look at ranch-relevant climate data

      • Jeff Martin-Center of Excellence for Bison Studies

    • 2:30-4pm- Back to Basics Round Table at the Reno-Sparks Events Center

      • Pick your fellow bison ranchers brains, good old fashion discussion on what works, what doesn’t and everything in-between

    • 5-6pm- Herd Hangout (Evening Social Hour) at the hotel

      • Live auction of bison, with immediate load-out following the auction

    • Load out of bison begins directly after sale
